2024 Next Election – Primary May 21, 2024

Calendar

REGISTER TO VOTE IN THE PRIMARY BY MAY 1, 2024, as a Democrat or Republican in order to vote in those party elections. Minor parties hold a conference for voting. Nonaffiliates choose not to vote in the primary.

A new voter registrant must submit their online registration by 11:59:59 p.m. Pacific Time by the 21st calendar day before an election to be eligible to vote in that election.

If you move out of Oregon, it is essential you remove your name from Oregon voter rolls to register to vote in another state.

You can update your voter registration information, until 8 p.m. on Election Day and still cast a ballot. However, if your registration is updated close to an election, you may not receive your ballot and need to have it issued at the county elections office. Caution is needed not to have stray ballots that can be fraudulently used and usurp your vote.

November 5, 2024 – General Elections

Last day for voter to return their ballot. Ballots that are mailed must be postmarked by election day and received by December 2. Ballots deposited in an official drop box must be received by 8 pm on election day.

Plan for an I Voted Campaign!

Not voting is an unused ballot for someone to steal and vote for you.

Some people doubt that their single vote will decide an election’s outcome and think voting is a waste of time. Yet, we have seen many races that are decided by only a few votes. One race was determined by only two votes in the 2018 primary and one candidate won by 5 votes in the 2023 school board race. Another race was tied and had to be decided by a dice roll. You can multiply your influence by encouraging your family and friends to vote.

You live here, work here, play here, dream here, raise your family here, and more. Our civic duty is to vote.
